SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2016: SBI Clerk Online Examination will be held in May/June for the (i) Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) (ii) Junior Agricultural Associates in Clerical cadre in State Bank of India. The online application process has commenced on 05 April and will conclude on. All the candidates are required to apply online on or before 25 April 2016. Candidates willing to apply must fulfill the eligibility requirements to be able to fill the online application.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2016 – Detailed Information

(i) Essential Qualification: ( as on 30 April 2016)

(i) For Junior Associates: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

(ii) For Junior Agricultural Associates: Graduation in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities from a Government recognised university/Institute.

• Candidates who are currently in the final Semester/ year of Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview/joining, they will have to produce proof of having passed the Graduation Examination on or before 30 June 2016.
• Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 30 June 2016.

(ii) Age: Applicants need to ensure that their age must not be less than 20 years and more than 28 years as on 01 April 2016 which implies that the candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1988 and not later than 01.04.1996 (both days inclusive).

Relaxation in the upper age limit :

Candidates seeking age relaxation are required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of interview, if they qualify the exam. No change in the category of any candidate is possible after registration of online application.

Probation Period: Candidates to be selected for the post of Junior Associates/ Junior Agricultural Associates will be on probation for a minimum period of 06 months. As much as 15 prescribed e-lessons will be required to be completed by newly recruited Junior Associates/ Junior Agricultural Associates during the probation, for getting confirmed in the Bank, failing which their probation will be extended till completion of the same. 15 prescribed e-lessons (for confirmation) will include role-based e-lessons. Before the probation period comes to an end, the performance of the newly recruited employees will be evaluated and the probation period of those employees whose performance fails to meet Bank’s expectation, may be extended.

• The date of passing the eligibility examination will be considered as on the date mentioned on the mark sheet/ provisional certificate issued by the University / Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University / Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University / Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing.

• Matriculate Ex-servicemen, who have acquired the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy/Air Force, on completing the course not less than 15 years of service in Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible.
