Job Description:
1. Component Software Design & Development

2. Ensuring excellent practices are utilized in delivering Big Data Management and Integration Solutions

3. Ensuring design decisions can be actioned by the development team

4. Participating in agile development projects

5. Acting as a role model for all best practices, ensuring consistency across entire team

6. Mentoring technical development team on optimal utilization of Big Data solutions and Apache Open Source Software

7. Helping build a great team

8. Leveraging new and emerging practices for Enterprise Data Architecture

9. Engage in enterprise-level systems component design and implementation

10. Systems integration, including design and development of APIs, Adapters, and Connectors

11. Integration with Hadoop/HDFS, Real-Time Systems, Data Warehouses, and Analytics solutions

12. Write and maintain reference architectures and systems design ‘best practices’ guidelines

Candidate Profile:
Qualification: B.S. in Computer Science

Skills:
1. Experience Delivering End to End Solutions in the Enterprise Space

2. Fluency in Java is required

3. Strong foundation of OO Design & Enterprise Architecture, Design Patterns, and Unit Testing

4. Experience going from whiteboard concept to delivery of Service Oriented Architecture

5. Experience with Database integration

6. Experience with Linux platforms

7. Experience with MPP platforms

8. Experience with Hadoop and Map/Reduce development

9. Experience with NoSQL technologies is a plus

10. Experience with Name-Value and Columnar data stores is a plus
